About our Club.

More than just a tennis club, Castlemaine Lawn Tennis Club Incorporated has been part of the community since our earliest recorded match against the Sandhurst Club on 1st October 1880. Believed to be the oldest rural lawn tennis club in Australia, we’re proud of our history but firmly focused on the future — continually embracing innovation and supporting our community.

Our club is for everyone: young or old, beginner or advanced, social player or seasoned competitor. With experienced coaching, weekly competitions, casual social play, and a welcoming atmosphere, Castlemaine Lawn Tennis Club is where families, friends, and players of all abilities can enjoy the game and connect with each other.
